Ingredients
15 Okra (top and tip trimmed)
5 tbsp Sambal Oelek
2 tbsp oil
10 cloves garlic (chopped)
1tsp belacan (toasted)
1-2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp thick soy sauce (optional)
Methods
- Heat up the oil in the pan/wok. Once the oil is hot, add in the garlic and stir fry for 30 seconds.
- Then add in the sambal oelek, thick soy sauce, belacan and sugar.
- Continue to stir fry until the sambal started to get thicken.
- Add in the okra and continue to stir fry until it is cooked. If you want it softer, then let it cook a little longer.
Ready to serve.
A new tip I just learnt: add some vinegar to the boiling water, the okra will be green and crunchy!! Amazing!
