Pad Thai

Recently I received a wonderful gift from a very dear friend - Bchoo from Gourmand Simple's Pleasure. One of the item in the package that was sent to me is this Pad Thai Sauce from Ayara Thai Cuisine.

So, today I finally use this wonderful sauce to make a classic Thai dish - Pad Thai. It was simple and easy. Ayara does make good sauce. I do not need to add in any other sauces when I make this dish. The best part is, their sauce are made fresh daily in their kitchen. You can read more on how to purchase the sauce here.  Hope you enjoy it.

About 3-4 servings
Ingredients
1/2 pack of pad thai noodle
Enough water to soak the the pad thai noodle
6-8 tbsp of Ayara Thai Cuisine Pad Thai Sauce
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 small onion (sliced)
20 shrimps (peeled and deveined)
1/2 cup sliced chicken
1 cup bean sprouts
A small bunch of scallions (about an inch length)
1/2 cup extra firm tofu (thin sliced)
Enough oil for frying the tofu
3 eggs
1/2 tbsp chili flake (optional)
1/2 cup coarsely chopped unsalted roasted peanuts
1 lime (cut into 8 wedges)
Some cilantro for garnish (optional)

Methods
  1. Soak the pad thai noodle in hot water for about 15 minutes or until they are soften. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat up oil in the wok and fry the tofu  until it turn golden. Drain the oil and set aside.
  3. On the same wok, heat up 2 tbsp of oil (I use back the oil that fry the tofu).
  4. Add garlic and onion and stir fry until it is fragrant.
  5. Add the chicken and shrimps and continue to stir fry until it is 70% cooked.
  6. Add the noodle, chili flakes (optional - if you want it spicy) and Ayara Pad Thai Sauce and continue to stir fry until all the ingredients are evenly coated with the sauce.
  7. Push the noodle aside and crack the egg into the wok. Break it up by stirring the egg for about 15 to 20 seconds. Then stir in the noodles
  8. Add in bean sprouts, scallions and tofu and continue to stir for another minute or two.
  9. Pour onto the serving plate/bowl and sprinkle some peanuts and cilantro and serve with a wedge of lime.
**All opinions written are 100% honest. I am not affiliated with Ayara Thai Cuisine. The products were a gift from my dear friend for personal use.
