During Chinese New Year, my 2nd aunt will make Steamed Garlic Shrimps for me. I love that dish so much that it became a tradition that every 2nd day of Chinese New Year, the whole family will have to go to her house for family lunch. Of course i will definitely have that dish specially make for me. The best part is that, i will get at least 4 shrimps while the rest of the family only entitled to 2 shrimps. Yup! i am my aunt's favourite nice. :p Here is the recipe. Enjoy!
Ingredients
16 jumbo shrimps (peeled)
8 cloves of garlic (chopped)
1/2 cup of onion (chopped)
1 tbsp ginger (minced)
1 tsp oil
2 tsp sesame oil
pinched of salt and sugar
Method
Slice the shrimps in the middle (not too deep) just a small insertion (deveined)
Mixed all the ingredients thoroughly then stuff it in the small insertion of the shrimps
Steamed the shrimps for 5 to 7 minutes
Ready to serve
* can use medium size shrimps if jumbo shrimps is not available
* smaller shrimps need lesser steaming time. Kindly adjust accordingly
* if shrimps is too small to be deveined, the mixture ingredients can just be spread on top of shrimps
