Lasagna (with step by step pictures)

I was never really a big fan of Lasagna but since my husband wanted to have some, we decided to make it ourselves. This is my MIL's recipe. After this, I think i will start making lasagna pretty often. The next time, i will use turkey or chicken instead of beef.. yum! I hope you will enjoy it.

Serving size: 8-10
Ingredients
A pack of lasagna pasta (16 oz)
2 lb ground beef (you can replace with ground turkey)
36 oz Prego sauce
1.5 mozarella cheese (shredded)
2 tbsp Sofrito (optional)
3 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp black pepper
3 tbsp Adobo
1-2 tbsp dried parsley
2-3 cups of water

Methods

  1. In a large pot, cook your pasta according to the package directions until just tender. Drain pasta and rinse with cold water. Drain well and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef with water until the ground beef is cooked. Drain water and the grease.
  3. Add in 24 oz of prego sauce, sofrito, garlic powder, black pepper, adobo and dried parsley and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes in medium heat. Stir occasionally. Remove heat and set aside

4. Arrange pasta neatly on 9 in x 13 in baking pan.
5. Spread some of meat mixture evenly.
6. Add in some Prego sauce
7. Sprinkle some mozarella cheese8. Repeat step 5, 6 and 7 until finish
9. On the last layer, spread more prego sauce
10. Be generous on the cheese on the last layer
